| Bio: | Hi, I'm Valerie, a 34-year-old married mother of two beautiful daughters, one 15 years old, one 7 years old. I'm a legal assistant at a mid-sized law firm and a so-far unpublished writer, though I hope to change the latter in the not-too-distant future. (By getting published, NOT by giving up.) I love books, music, gardening and sleeping. I'm a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac, Faith Hill, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Anne McCaffrey, Robert Jordan, Jack McDevitt, and far too many others to name. As I said, I am an as-yet-unpublished writer and have finished one novel, numerous short stories and even a poem or two -- and am working on several more. I hope to publish in the next five years, and eventually to be able to write full-time, as it is my first love and lifelong dream. I have, in the last year, made immense changes in my lifestyle, resulting in a weight loss so far of 40 pounds, with about 20 more to go. I am thrilled with the changes in my life and health and am passionate about this subject now, so don't hesitate to ask! I also love music, both to listen to and to sing, though I'm certainly no pro. My elder daughter has inherited that bug and is a member of the George Washington High School Chamber Choir, to my immense pride and joy. My younger daughter is currently passionate about Hannah Montana and Fergie and the Accelerated Reader program at school, also to my immense pride and joy. In my spare time -- wait, I don't have any.
